2011 Anniversary Celebration

On Sunday 13™ February we celebrated our 144th Church Anniversary. On Saturday evening we had a supper with a delicious variety of hot meals and a selection of Deserts. At the Services on Sunday our Speaker was the Rev Jonathan Edwards General Secretary of the Baptist Union, an excellent speaker, at the morning service we were encouraged to spend time with Jesus as Mary did, rather than being like Martha always busy. The evening service was well attended as we had invited other churches in our cluster to hear Jonathan preach. He used the motto on the cover of the Baptist Times ‘Encouraging Missionary Disciples,’ another challenging word.
