From receipt and blessing (see “Shoeboxes Everywhere”), the shoeboxes go off to the GU / KT processing centre in Peasmarsh, Guildford, either by car…
They’re sorted and stacked into “boys” and “girls”
before the boys’ boxes have to be taken upstairs…
and then crated up ready for onward transport to an export warehouse in Tonbridge or Chelmsford.
17,000 so far this year 9 days into the operation, with about 20,000 expected thisyear – and that’s just the KT and GU postcode areas!
At the export centre they’re packed into containers or lorries for transport to wherever in the world God is sending them… Central Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Turkey etc.
We’ll follow the journey soon as we see them being distributed to the children in Serbia.
