Village Show

On Saturday Jean, Sohan, Hetty and I represented the church at the village show.  We had some good meetings with people.  On Friday at 7.30pm we hope to see some of them in the church as we discuss questions that they would like to ask God.  Please pray that this will be a good event.

Bible studies

On Thursday evenings in August, we will look at some common misunderstandings about the Bible.  This is a great moment to join us on Thursdays at 7.30pm!  We always begin with coffee/tea and a biscuit.  No prior knowledge of the Bible is required.  New people are already signing up!  See you there!  August 1, 15 and 29.

Funeral for Margaret Stout Tuesday July 30

There will be a very short committal at 1.00pm at Woking crematorium.

A thanksgiving service follows in our church at 2.00pm.

If you can only attend one of these two, then the family would prefer to see you at the church service. Margaret did not ask us to wear black and she loved bright colours.

Quizzes

The next Tear Fund Big Quiz will be on Saturday 16 November.  Because KBC can’t wait so long, we will organise our own quiz afternoon on Saturday 10 August in addition.  Please save the date and invite your neighbours to join you.

Men’s breakfast

I wonder if the women of KBC will organise their own breakfast.  A breakfast is after all a great event to invite a friend!  In any case, Sohan’s men’s breakfast on Saturday August 3 at 9.00am is being publicised and I am hearing positive vibes, including on Facebook.
